8. SUMMARY and CONCLUTION
- An object is represented by a combination of cortical columns,
each of which represents a visual feature.
- A specific combination for an object is made up of both activeand
inactive feature columns.
- The feature columns do not necessarily represent spatially localized
visual features.
- Some visual features represented by columns are more related
to global features, such as spatial arrangements of parts.
