Q0: Will there be a lunch box for both days?
A0: No, we have not arranged a lunch box for either date. You are asked to arrange all meals on your own.
Q1: I am a JRA. If I attend, will the two days of Summer School be counted as working days?
A1: Yes, for JRAs and RSRs the two days will be counted as working days.
Q2: Are there any stores near the venue?
A2: There is a convenience store at Hirosawa Club (C72 in the map).
Q3: Does my lab have to pay for my travel expenses from the lab's budget?
A3: No. The Summer School is funded by our budget, so your lab does not have to pay for your travel.
Q4: What is the poster draft used for?
A4: The “outline of poster presentation” and “poster draft” will be used as selection material for the poster prizes, and will be sent to poster screeners. Although this is a closed event and we will prohibit photography on site (excl. PR photos), due to the limited number of staff, we cannot guarantee that your poster will not be photographed. Please be sure to let your lab head know of these conditions beforehand, and prepare an appropriate draft.
Q5: Do I need to bring my RIKEN ID card?
A5: Yes, please bring your RIKEN ID card. You will need it to enter the building.
Q6: Is photography allowed at the venue? I'm concerned the contents of my poster will be photographed.
A6: Photography is strictly prohibited on site (excl. PR photos taken by Staff). Should you have any concerns on site, please let any of the Staff know.
Q7: I think I’m going to be late! What should I do?
A7: If you think you will be late, please inform the Secretariat in advance at summerschool@ml.riken.jp or the emergency contact: 050-3502-7471. Upon arrival, please register at the registration desk and follow the staff's instructions.
