Travel Information
Meal
We will arrange dinner on the 6th. You are asked to arrange for all other meals on your own.
There is a cafeteria at the Welfare and Conference Bldg. (C61) and a convenience store at Hirosawa Club (C72). In the Wako Campus Cafeteria intra webpage , you can find information of the menus and a list of usable IC cards (Suica,PASUMO,ICOCA, etc.) which you will need for payment.
Apart from the expenses directly covered by RIKEN, we will be asking you to contribute 500 yen in cash as part of the food expenses.
How to get to RIKEN Wako branch
Please refer to RIKEN’s Access to Headquarters and Wako Campus webpage for information on transportation, area map and campus map and arrange for your own transportation. Apart from those living in I-house or in walking distance from Wako campus, you may apply for a business trip as instructed in the Domestic Business Trip Authorization manual. Transportation and accommodation costs will be provided in accordance with RIKEN regulations. Please note that 2,000yen is deducted from the accommodation costs as part of the food expenses.

Domestic Business Trip Authorization
Transportation fee and accommodation cost will be covered by RIKEN in accordance to RIKEN's Regulations for Business Travel Expenses. Please apply for the "Domestic Business Trip Authorization" at “AMABIE” via OKTA authentication.

You are asked to book and purchase train tickets on your own. Your expenses will be reimbursed by RIKEN later according to RIKEN's Regulations for Business Travel Expenses.
Summer school office may not be able to reimburse the travel cost after the submission deadline for the "Domestic Business Trip Authorization form".
Accommodation
Please arrange for your own accommodation in or around Wako.
The closest hotels are the following. Apart from the participants located at Wako, Tokyo, Yokohama and Tsukuba, who are able to commute in time for the event, you may also stay the night before the event (September 5th).
