Poster Session

All participants must present a poster. The following prizes will be awarded to superior poster presentations: Prizes for Physics, Mathematical Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology and Medical Science. In addition, special prizes will be awarded on site. Note that we will be asking poster prize winners to give a brief introduction of their research at the awarding session, using their Icebreaker document.

Note: Poster presentation is not mandatory for RSRs, but if you wish to present a poster, please state so when registering for the event.

Pointers for Presentation

To help you prepare for your on-site presentation, here are some pointers for you to keep in mind. In short, keep the presentation within five minutes.

Poster Size

Please design your poster so it can be posted vertically (A0 size poster). Print it out and bring it to the venue.

Please include logos for RIKEN and Programs for junior scientists in your poster.

To get logos, please access the following sites(RIKEN internal websites). If you don't have access to internal websites, please contact us at summerschool@ml.riken.jp.

Deadline

Deadline of sending poster draft: 9am, August 28 (Mon), 2023

The draft should be sent as a PDF file to summerschool@ml.riken.jp.

Note

You may change the content of the poster after deadline. The poster draft can be made without the logos but please make sure to include the logos when you print it out for the summer school. Note that the “outline of poster presentation” and “poster draft” will be used as selection material for the poster prizes, and will be sent to poster screeners. Although this is a closed event and the venue is on RIKEN premises, anyone that has an entry permit to RIKEN is able to enter the C00 Bldg. up to the second floor. Please be sure to let your lab head know of these conditions beforehand, and prepare an appropriate draft. Do NOT forget to print and bring your poster.
