Research interests

SMPPIIs: I am currently interested in designing novel small molecule protein protein interaction inhibitors for new targets.
Structural biology, protein modelling and protein design, structure based drug discovery.

• 2011 - present: postdoctoral researcher at Zhang IRU, RIKEN, Japan. Guest lecturer in molecular recognition at K. U. Leuven, Belgium.
• 2010 - 2011: postdoctoral researcher at the biomolecular modelling laboratory of the K. U. Leuven, Belgium.
• 2005 - 2010: PhD student at the biomolecular modelling laboratory of the K. U. Leuven, Belgium.

Hobbies

I like to travel, to cook and to make cocktails.
I have also been a voluntary travel-guide for Kriskras, a Belgian travel organisation for young people aiming at a more sustainable tourism.
