Overview

This is the joint activity of “The QS2C Theory Forum” and “The Asian Pacific Workshop”.

The QS2C Theory Forum

One of the activities in the program “Quantum Science of Strongly Correlated Systems” (Leader: Prof. Yoshinori Tokura, University of Tokyo and RIKEN) in “World-Leading Innovative R&D on Science and Technology (FIRST Program)” funded for 5 years (2010-2014) by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.

The Asian Pacific Workshop (APW)

[Chairman] Prof. Fuchun Zhang (The University of Hong Kong)

The scope of this workshop is to discuss the following themes in condensed matter physics.

  • First-principles calculations
  • Topological aspects of condensed matter
  • Spintronics
  • Frustration and textures in spin systems
  • Strong correlation
  • Superconductivity and bose condensation

The majority of the speakers are the theorists, and we also invite some distinguished experimentalists.
