"High-field magnetism of S=1/2 quasi-one-dimensional frustrated magnets"

Unconventional magnetic orders and phases in frustrated quantum spin systems have attracted condensed matter scientists. Frustration in one-dimensional (1D) magnets is provided by competing interactions, such as the ferromagnetic nearest neighbor (FNN) and the next-nearest neighbor (AFNNN) antiferromagnetic exchange interactions. I will report on the results of magnetization and ESR measurements in high magnetic fields on some quasi-1D FNN and AFNNN compounds.
