Scope and Background
Swiss-Japan Workshop 2012 is a joint activity between Switzerland and Japan, following "New Developments in Strongly Correlated Electron Systems" held at ETH Zürich, Switzerland in Sep. 18-21, 2009, "New Trends in Theory of Correlated Materials" held at Seimei-no-mori Resort in Chiba, Japan in Sep. 8-10, 2010, and "New Electronic Properties through Structure and Correlation" held in at ETH Zürich, Switzerland in Sep. 16-18, 2011.
The scope of the conference focuses on emerging new topics in strongly correlated many-body systems including
- exotic quantum phases
- novel superconductors
- quantum phase transitions
- topological phases
- non-equilibrium properties
- entangled quantum dynamics
- cold atomes, BEC
- new computational approaches
- ...
