Keywords: New Catalyst, New Reaction, New Material

The discovery of new catalysts can result in breakthroughs in various areas. Novel catalysts can facilitate novel reactions that have been previously considered impossible, and can thus help us to make innovative functional materials that can not be made by previous means. This belief is emphasized in the words "New Catalyst, New Reaction, New Material" indicated above as the keywords for our research. With this belief in mind, our research program spans the fields of organometallic chemistry, organic synthesis, and polymer and material sciences. The primary focus of our research is the development of our original organometallic compounds for application in efficient, selective chemical transformations including fine-chemical synthesis, small molecule activation, olefin polymerization, material innovation, etc. Much of our work lies at the interfaces between inorganic, organic, polymer, and material sciences.
