Primarily millimeter and sub-millimeter wave spectroscopy of low-dimensional conducting and magnetic molecular systems in high magnetic fields, including various magnetic resonance techniques such as Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) and Cyclotron Resonance (CR). Also magnetotransport, magnetometry and magnetocalorimetry studies of the same systems.


Our recent research topics are the following:

    •Studies of the Molecular Spin Liquid Materials by ESR


    •Ground state of the Molecular Dual-electron System


    •Condensed Matter Physics using Nano-carbon Materials


    •Development of the High-sensitive ESR Measurements System


 

We are studying condensed matter physics of molecular materials by use of ESR spectroscopy. ESR is one of sensitive measurements where microscopic information, such as the electronic states and spin dynamics etc., of unpaired electrons can be obtained. We welcome graduate students from all around the world who are interested in condensed matter physics of strongly correlated materials or in the instrumentation of the ESR spectroscopy. All your studies and research will be done in RIKEN (Wako-shi, Saitama).


There is a Junior Research Associate (JRA) program in RIKEN, which provides part-time positions for energetic and open-minded graduate students. Candidates must be enrolled (or scheduled to be enrolled) in a doctoral course of Hokkaido university. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you are interested in.

我々はESRを用いながら分子性物質の物性研究を行っております。ESRは不対電子の電子状態やスピンダイナミクスといったミクロな情報が得られる最も感度の高い測定の一つです。強相関電子系の物性物理やESR測定に興味のある大学院生を常時募集しております。博士課程期間中の研究は全て理化学研究所（埼玉県和光市）で行われます。


また、理化学研究所には、柔軟な発想があり活力のある大学院生に対して非常勤で採用する、大学院生リサーチ・アソシエイト(JRA)制度が存在します。採用時には北海道大学の大学院に在籍（見込みを含む）にしている必要がありますので、ご興味のある方はお気軽にお問い合わせください。
