3D Triangulated Mesh Representation: PLY2 Format

The PLY2 format is a file format in implementation of the 3D triangle meshes for approximation of the smooth surfaces. The PLY2 format is very similar to ascii text off format but they are not same format. The PLY2 format is constructed by following rules.
• First Line: A number of vertices (Integer).
• Second Line: A number of triangles (Integer).
• After Third: A set of vertex coordinates (Double Double Double).
• After vertex coordinates: A set of face informations which is fromed by the three vertex IDs (3 Integer Integer Integer).
The example of PLY2 is given by simple torus which is created by Dr. Ohtake.

Dr. Ohtake's Laser-Scanned Models

The original noised meshes of the following three complex models are produced via 3D laser-scanner by Dr. Ohtake. Also, he applied his mesh improvement methods to the scanned data. If you interest the other version of data, please contact Dr. Ohtake.
